Two of my kids went on a Pioneer Trek re-enactment last week. They had to push or pull a handcart over 25 miles in 2 days! It was a great experience for them. I got to make some of the clothing for it. They were required to wear traditional pioneer clothing. This is one of the skirts & aprons that I made. I made the apron from some of the scrap fabric that I have. I think it looks cute pieced. I used my ruffler foot to make the ruffle on the pocket. The flower adds just the right touch. :) The second apron became a little "simpler" as the evening got later. I added a pleat to one side of the apron. I did add a ruffle to the pocket as well as some rick rack. A nice deep pocket to hold a water bottle, and a ruffle to the bottom. Voila!
